    Help

Bayer CropScience and Farmers across Canada conduct extensive DEKALB® seed trials to maximize yield potential. Review our trial data to see how DEKALB® products compare against competitor products.

    Location

By default, the map will be set to your current location showing all trials located within 200 square kilometers. To view results from another location, enter in the city or postal code search box.

    Filters

Use the filters provided below to customize your search results. If you are not sure where to start, select an option from our Preset filter.

    Compare

Compare up to 3 crops within the same crop category at a time. For example, you can only compare 3 Corn trials or 3 Soybean trials.

    Map Controls

The Zoom control+” and “-“ buttons can be used for panning in or out of the map.

The Fullscreen [ ] button offers the option to open the map in fullscreen mode.

The system refers to the trait or traits that confers resistance to a non-selective herbicide allowing for crop protection and comprehensive weed control.
Straight Cut: This is a trial that is direct combined.
Swath: This is a trial type that is swathed before harvest.
A soil zone is a specific region within Western Canada that displays similar soil and environmental characteristics.
Refers to plant genetic resistance to key canola diseases.

Relative maturity (RM) can be used to compare product’s maturity to existing products in the DEKALB lineup. The relative maturity of a hybrid is assessed by comparing the harvest maturity to established products with known RM ratings in their adapted geographies.
    -
Crop Heat Units (CHU) provides an indexing system to assist farmers to select the most suitable hybrids and varieties for their area. For a shorter growing season, hybrids with a lower CHU should be selected in order to optimize yield and reach maturity before a killing frost occurs.
    -
Seed Traits have been genetically encoded into the plant’s DNA. The result is that the crop is engineered to be resistant to certain insect pests, pathogens and/or herbicides in order to protect the crop and increase quality and yield.
Soil types are defined by their relative composition of sand, silt and clay. The soil type will determine drainage and moisture retention capacity and consequent root growth and elongation in corn.

Tillage is used for many reasons including weed control, burying previous crop residue, incorporating fertilizer, and seedbed preparation corn will grow well under a wide variety of tillage systems, primarily conventional tillage but also no-till and minimum tillage.
